The Running Bear has been a favorite place for bear hunters since the 1950s.
It was known for its excellent Black Bear Hunting and Annual Bear Roast across the country.
The Bear Roast was so popular the resort even ended up in some tourist
books. We purchased the old resort in need of much repair 2007,
remodeled the cabins and spent some time finding just the
right guy to work with and we are now ready to bring
back some quality Bear Hunting!

The Running Bear is in the Bergland Management Unit
and the Amasa Management Unit is across the road.

We are working hard on being able to pride ourselves on our success rate
and feel it will be due both to our regimented annual baiting patterns
along with our management of the resource,
only taking a limited number of hunters each season
